Sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Education Foundation, this scholarship addresses the need to increase the number of the minority intellectual property attorneys and to bring these attorneys to the attention of firms and corporations as candidates for employment. The $10,000 Law Scholarship will be awarded to minority students developing a career in intellectual property law or holding a past or present, full or part-time position in an area related to intellectual property law. Applicants must also have a demonstrated financial need and outstanding academic performance in the undergraduate level and law school level (if applicable).

Siemens Foundation
Sponsored by the Siemens Foundation this scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students interested in teaching Math or Science at the elementary or secondary education level. Students applying for this scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a US citizen currently enrolled as a full time student attending one of the 47 member universities
- Education major (interested in teaching Math or Science) or Math or Science Majors (interested in teaching Math or Science after graduation)

Description: Sponsored by The Department of Energy, this scholarship will provide financial assistance to students majoring in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics. Students will also receive an opportunity to apply for a summer internship with the Department of Energy.

Duration: Fall 2007 – Spring 2008
Criteria:

- Students majoring in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)

Description – Sponsored by the Wachovia Foundation, this scholarship will provide financial assistance to sophomores majoring in business or finance. First generation college students are strongly encouraged to apply.
Amount: $2200 per semester ($4400 per academic year)

Criteria:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and current full time citizen
- Students must be enrolled in their Sophomore year
- 25% of students must be finance or business majors - 75% open to all majors
- Students must indicate if they are 1st generation students (not a requirement to receive scholarship)
- Maintain not less than 3.0 cumulative GPA each semester for the duration of the scholarship.

MetLife Internship/Scholarship
Description – Sponsored by MetLife Corporation this program provides and internship and scholarship for rising seniors majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology and Management Information Systems. Students must apply for MetLife IT internship program and upon acceptance will be eligible for an academic scholarship at the end of their internship. Students must complete the internship to receive scholarship funds.
Amount: $2500 per semester ($5000 per academic year)
Duration: Fall 2007 – Spring 2008 (Internship Summer 2007)
Criteria:
- Must apply for and be accepted into MetLife’s IT intern program (all candidates screened by TMCF Career Counselors – MetLife to make final selection)
- Majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems
- Maintain not less than a 3.0 cumulative GPA for the duration of the scholarship
- Currently enrolled at one of our member institutions
- Must complete the internship to receive scholarship funds
